Kid Rock is a multi-platinum award-winning American rock ‘n roll icon whose musical style ranges from hip hop and rock to heavy metal and country and has sold over 26 million albums around the world. The multi-instrumentalist has made hits across genres, from rap and rock in the ‘90s with singles “Bawitdaba” and “Cowboy,” to country with “Picture,” a collaboration with Sheryl Crow that charted No. 4 on the Hot 100. Rock’s 2007 album featuring the song “All Summer Long,” charted at No. 1 in eight countries across Europe and Australia, and the music video received more than 48 million views on YouTube. Rock has consistently released albums since 1990, many of them going platinum and multi-platinum with spots in the Top 10.

Kid Rock is also a passionate supporter of those who serve in the US Armed Forces and a vocal advocate for his hometown of Detroit. This was Kid Rock’s third appearance at the California Mid-State Fair, having last appeared in 2014. As usual, his own excellent Twisted Brown Trucker Band were back with him for the show.

"America's Favorite Fair!"

The Fair opened in 1946 and was first known as the San Luis Obispo County Fair. The California Mid-State Fair is held annually and runs for 12 days at the end of July. The Fair has hosted some of the biggest names in the music industry. Artists such as Aerosmith, Tom Petty, Journey, Rod Stewart, Fergie, Justin Bieber, Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton and Kenny Chesney have all performed on our Main Grandstand Arena stage.

New this year is a brand new carnival provider, with TWO separate carnival areas: the traditional carnival area, plus the brand new CUB COUNTY, a carnival dedicated to toddlers and young children. At the north end of the Fairgrounds you'll find our brand new Paso Robles Pavilion, a towering structure that features 100,000 square feet of exhibit space. And while you're at the Fair this year, stop by one of our many new attractions like our Hall of Bugs, Slugs & Spiders, Wild West Turkey Stampede, Strongest Man & Woman Competition or Tomatoes, Tortoises & Treasures exhibit!

Facilities are located at 2198 Riverside Avenue in Paso Robles.

Tickets for all other shows at this year’s California Mid-State Fair remain available. For a complete list of artists, dates and times please visit www.MidStateFair.com. The 2017 California Mid-State Fair runs July 19 through July 30. This year’s theme is “Come One, Come All!”
