For twenty-two years, KROQ's Almost Acoustic Christmas concert has provided a lineup of iconic rock groups at Universal's Gibson Amphitheater. Put on by LA's leading rock radio station, KROQ, the concert, which started as purely acoustic and now is mostly plugged in, sold out quickly this year, as it does year after year.

The first night lineup included classic rock groups Blink-182, Bush, Chevelle, New Found Glory, Social Distortion, 311 and Young The Giant. The second night included both bands dating back to the early 1990s and bands that entered the scene within the past couple years: Jane's Addiction, The Black Keys, Florence + The Machine, Cage The Elephant, Death Cab For Cutie, Foster The People, Grouplove, Mumford & Sons, The Naked And Famous and Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
Night 1 of the 22nd Annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas benefits Para Los Niños, a non-profit family service agency designed to raise at-risk children out of poverty and into brighter futures through positive educational opportunities and support.
Night 2 of the 22nd Annual KROQ Almost Acoustic Christmas benefits the Al Wooten Jr. Heritage Center, providing a safe after-school environment where hundreds of boys and girls in South Central Los Angeles participate in tutoring, learn important social skills and are guided to succeed in school and enter college.
